Love it. I would not own a vehicle without a Wheelskins cover unless it came with leather from the factory.

Order from eBay... Wheelskins has an outlet dealer that sells there for about 25% off list.

How much more circumference does it give to the grip? I'm looking for a nice wide feel.

And does that cover ever slip? I, like most, "palm" the steering wheel when turning sometimes... don't want the cover slipping around the wheel.

The cover is very tight on the Tacoma wheel. On the left just above the upper spoke, you can actually see "stretch marks" that happened when I was pulling the cover over the wheel.

    It ain't going anywhere ;)

Thickness, it doesn't add a lot, about the same as those cheap plastic/rubber wrap-on covers that they sell.
Anything more than this for thickness and I'd recommend the above link and a full custom job.

Takes me about 20-30 minutes to lace one of these on, but I've done about 6 of them since I first started using them back around '96.
My first was on my '94 Toyota p/u, and my boss liked it so much he asked me to install one on his new Maxima.

Didn't know you could do that.

Post #6 looks very promising however I'm still scared to mess with that stuff.

It was funny when my tacoma seatbelt fit right in Celica seats I swapped in.
So resonable to think other parts might fit with some messing around.

So uh yeah... you're gonna have to post pics of those seats pretty much right now.

Then tell me what year Celica seats and how much fabrication was needed to make the swap work.

Found some 2002 Celica seats for 85bucks a pair ,only catch was drivng 3hours round trop to get them.I stripped the rails, seats, bolts, and seatbelt wires out the Celica. To install I had to use the bench seat bolt locations ,had to weld the Celica rails to some of the bench rail(bench is dismantled/trashed in process). That way I can put these seats into any other taco like mine and I keep my truck seat mounts. To make sure the seats did not sit too low had to use 1"sq tubing.

Messing around with the airbag can be dangerous. so for those who DO, please be careful, and follow the correct procedure to disable the SIR system prior to working on it. I am curious about the guy who disabled his for off-roading. How do you figure it would be more dangerous to keep it active? I do like the look of the Celica steering wheel! Since it is a Toyota, it seems from the other forum that the connection is the same. I am not sure if the inflation rate, and bag size are the same though, which could be dangerous. Also I gotta say from the other guy on there, I would NEVER EVER in my life buy an airbag from Ebay!

Ya if you want to mess with something airbag related please disconnect your battery first.

Not just that. The airbag module has a built-in battery that will maintain a charge and STILL can deploy the airbags! Proper disconnect procedure is a must for safety.

The person that disabled the airbag for off road did no want the airbag to go off while doing tough trails and pounding on his truck while going slow. Said he has a off-road only rig so I am guessing he has roll cage with harnesses.

OK, and I get the thought process behind it. However the airbag systems are designed to not deploy unless going over 14 MPH. If I were driving on some rough terrain at 14+ then I would WANT my airbag to deploy if I hit something...lol. Just sayin'

Really I was thinking more of when getting air or when leaning heavily on throttle for the needed wheel spin to make some obstacles. I have seen a few go off on hard landings and such.

Like I said the mods I did aren't for everyone. Trucks (old, or even competition) have been driven plenty without airbags.

All in all its a judgement call that I made after plenty of thought and experience.
