Can I run a front suspension lift only and run 285’s without CMC?

My question is pretty short and sweet.

    Can I run:

Bilstein 5100’s in the front of my Tacoma without adding any kind of uca, aal or rear shocks while adding 285/75r16 falken wildpeak at3ws?

If I can’t just run stock suspension, can I just get the OME or Toytec Boss 2.5 lift kit without UCA’s or medium range Dakar’s and still have a reliable suspension set up?

Short answer is maybe but probably not. 255s are close and the extra inch will most likely rub especially under flex and turn.

285s will rub the uca if you don't run spacers or wheels with more backspace.

Save your money and get a real nice lift. You will be happy you did it correctly the first time. I waited 1 year to do this. Now I am running 285x70x17 Pirelli Scorpion MT. Good luck with your truck.

Hate to be a downer but there’s not a chance in hell I’ll ever pay for a kings lift. I don’t wheel enough or even come close to needing the capability that lift offers.

For $4k I’m buying more motorcycles and guns, but to each his own :)

    285/70/16’s might work.

I run the Eibach Pro kit on my 2017 but had to notch cut the body mount to avoid rubbing on 285. your best bet is a 265, it is about 3/4" narrower and most are 31.7" tall vs 285 that is 32.5" tall.

It will depend on the offset of the wheels as well, some of the TRD Pro guys run 285/75/16 on their stock wheels and suspension without a cmc

Could you link the eibach kit you’re running? It seems pretty affordable and probably cheaper than the full OME kit

do the lift and buy the pro tacoma wheels and i'd say you have a decent chance of fitting 285s. I run 285/75/16 on my stock pro and wheel the heck out of it with no issues

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
Then don't bother with fretting over 285s and the resulting fitment issues.

Chuck Norris runs 255s on OE wheels, no lift, no cut, no rub. Full 33", fills the wheel wells nicely.
