Looking to pick up these wheels (http://www.varrstoen.com/product/vtx-viper/), either the 17's or 18's. However, they are 17x8.5 and 18x9. Would it be possible to run either of these with KO2s on a stock 2016 Double Cab Sport?

    Thanks in advance!

I only checked the specs of the 17s, with a -10 offset. That's plenty to clear the UCAs up to a 11.5. inch tire easily, possibly a 12.50.

What size tires are you wanting doing to run? Thats equally, if not more important on if the setup will fit.

I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to tires but I'm thinking the 265/70/17 BFG KO2s

Youll be fine. If 265s i recommend going with the 17x8.5 instead of 18x9

Right on, thanks so much! I'd like to get a lift but not anytime soon, that's a lot of money. So if I could get these new tires and wheels without a lift, that works out nicely.

    Thanks again!

-12mm offset is too much; those will poke 1-3/4".
With 8.5" wide you want something around +12mm offset.

So the specs for the wheels are 17"x8.5", -10mm offset, 4.4" backspacing according to the website. I'm not too knowledgeable on this, but just wanted to clarify if I'd be able to run those with a 265/70/17 BFG KO2 setup and no rub without a lift.

I'm looking to order the wheels and tires this week.

My Icon's are 17x8.5, but they're also 0 offset. So I'm no help. But I can tell you 265/70r17 KO2's are a great tire on our trucks. No regrets thus far.

The 17x8.5 -10mm wheel size is the same as the SCS wheels that are designed to fit our trucks. A -10mm offset will give it a nice stance that's better than stock. I would go with 17's vs 18's to give it a better ride with more sidewall. $.02

I have 18x9 Methods with -12 offset. Once installed my tires barely rubbed on the stock mudflaps. I cut out some of the mudflap and the rubbing is about 95% gone. Once I put on the lift the rubbing should be completely gone.

Thanks everyone for your replies/advice. So it sounds like rubbing shouldn't be a problem then. I'll start building up the balls to place the order for the wheels and tires this week

Thanks for helping this newbie out!

    Overall diameter: 1.1" greater
    Overall width: same
You will stick out 1.6" more than stock.

diameter and width won't be too bad it's the fact that it will be sticking out quite a bit more. I would flex your suspension and lock your wheels either way and take a ruler to make sure you will have the proper clearance. My guess is you will have to do a bit a trimming.

Thanks everyone for the help, just put these puppies on this weekend. Very minimal rub but nothing a little trimming won't fix.
