Can I save my taillight?

I have a lot of condensation and water. Can I break the seal and reseal? How would you go about resealing a taillight anyways?

Anything is possible, but it looks like it's going to be much easier to simply buy a new tail lamp.

 

look up the black headlight mod (BHLM) people break the seal and reseal headlights all the time.

 

Use a blow dryer through the lamp socket holes to dry it out; then use clear vinyl or silicone sealant to seal every seam you can find between the housing outer cover and body.

Or just buy a new set of '08 style non-"fast and furious" lights from here for $83...

 

Mine has condensation for three years now and still works fine. It's cracked at a seam.

 

Hey. Some of us like the LED lights. Hell almost all cars and trucks use LED now.

 

It's not the use of LEDs as the light source that I find visually offensive, but rather the trendy, flamboyant, overstated and at times just plain garish, "altezza" ripoff housing designs...
