Hey y’all, I’m just looking for a random small mod to mess with on my truck. It’s an SR5 model and didn’t come with the RS3200 security system, just the blank spot where the module would go. Since SR5s didn’t have them standard, I was wondering if there’s any chance it might still be pre-wired for one. Like, is there any plug and play possibility if I grab a module off eBay?

Any insight or pics of what the wiring should look like behind the blank spot would be appreciated.

Around $26,000 worth of unleaded in the fuel tank.
That security system is installed with a "plug and play" harness, but you will have to connect the glass break sensor, the horn wires etc. If you get a complete system with the harness it probably won't be too hard to install.

Look at your vehicle's ignition switch area and you can see if you have the inline pass-through harness in there. You could probably round up all of the parts from salvage.

In the end, you might be better off just installing a good aftermarket alarm system with more features that comes with all the parts.

Thank you so much! I'll definitely try and do it when I get some time!

As far as I know the RS3000 system was an option that was probably installed at the dealership somewhere. I don't know for sure about the 3200 system. I saw an rs3000 module installed under the seat and zip tied to the carpet. the wire harness was super long.

Yes, you are correct, it was originally dealer installed; however, if your truck has the keyless receiver module then it likely has the capability to work with the security system if you install the necessary wiring and features.
