I think I have seen a thread on this before but I cannot find it, so please excuse my ignorance of not being able to locate the thread. I have an 18, OR 4x4 with the Predator factory rails. I bought it new in Dec of 18. My rails have got some dings and scratches that I would like to paint. I've got no problem removing them and spraying the entire rail. Anyone familiar with this thread that can point me that direction or does anyone have any experience with painting the rails? I think the ends may be a plastic or synthetic type material that I can tape off. It also looks like to me that I would need to use a "matte" or "satin" finish spray paint? I think if I painted the entire rail it wouldn't really matter, but I'm no painting expert. Thanks for any help.

Predator steps, TRD cat-back, lots of orange stickers.
I had mine sprayed with bedliner and they looked excellent.

Rustoleum 7777, GM reconditioning black paint, or SEM Trim Black usually matches factory frame rails, trailer hitches, etc.

I’ve had good luck with the 7777, and it’s significantly cheaper.

I spray my sliders with this when they get dinged up. Mainly to protect against rust but it keeps them looking good too:

    Bryan and Danger...
Do you guys tape off the end caps are do you hit those as well. My dings are primarily on the flat sections that are welded to the tube that hold the steps. My ends still look new because of my splash guards.
