Yea, it is definitely possible to spread the new corona virus via the mail, unlikely, but possible.

Lots of parts on Amazon are from Toyota dealers, you just have to select them as the seller. Even that part listed above has several dealers selling it.

I like Amazon. Its easy. They have access to everything. The shipping is fast. Most of the time my crap shows up as advertised. Thanks for the post above. This is kind of what I was hoping would come up by creating this thread. The amazon seller was named DaytonaToyota. I think they're reputable, but the packing was just really sketchy. I'm still a bit confused that I received a NOK and @NineTimesThree received a KOYO. I suppose its still possible that the OEM part could have been sourced from multiple manufacturers... or possibly KOYO and NOK seals are made at the same factory and are branded under 2 different brands?

If you got it from Daytona Toyota, I'd say it's likely an OEM seal. The question then becomes, is it the correct seal? i.e. are the seals you have and the one @NineTimesThree has the same? It's hard to tell without seeing all three angles (top, bottom, side) of each of your seals.

I have definitely gotten the wrong OEM seal from a dealer before - even in packaging with the "right part number." Dealers (by and large) get the seals in bulk, and then re-package for "retail" sale, and like anyone, they can make mistakes.

I agree, but they all aren't and some sources aren't clear. I can understand taking a chance where the reward is substantial savings, however what's the potential saving on a grease seal? Perhaps a buck or two.
I purchase quite a bit from Amazon, an item such as this just doesn't make sense to me.
