Can I use 4runner suspension on a Tacoma?

I just got a 2020 Tacoma TRD Sport. I've had a couple 4runners in the past but this is my first Tacoma. The mods I plan to do are: new wheels and tires, slight lift (maybe like 1.5-2"), and headlights.

So my question is this: a buddy has a 2019 4Runner TRD Offroad that he has put all new suspension on. He said I could have his original one if I want it. It's basically new. Would it fit on my truck? Would it give me any lift?

I believe you will need new bushings and you probably wouldn't get any lift. Why do you want to change suspension? Do you just want a lift?

Fronts will fit, although 4runner shocks tend to be about 1/2in shorter travel then Tacomas, they will work fine. The 4runner rears will not work on Tacoma as the lower mount is completely different than Tacoma, also a shorter stroke sock than Tacoma.
