there use to be a thing that screwed into a block. but that was from the like 50's I've seen one in my life. and took forever to actually inflate the tire.

though option #2 ive a friend with a truck with an old AC pump that was converted to an air pump that is sort of cool and his "free" onboard air set up is cool

Why not just buy an air pump?
Hell a lot easier than pulling a spark plug

I recommend pulling two spark plugs, one each from driver and passenger sides of the engine, and hook into both of them. That will pump double the air while keeping the V symmetrical.
    And you'll still have a 2.3L V4 generating 185 hp.

How would that affect oil change intervals?

It’s amazing that those air bags don’t need much pressure, it gets its lift with surface area. If it was a foot in diameter, you’d need about 40psi to lift the entire truck. Half that if one side was still on the ground.

I remember watching my grandpa use one in communist Poland in the early 1980s.

Spark plug tire inflators are a real thing, but I seriously doubt they would work with modern engines.

Now that we know the spark plug inflator is an actual thing, I would say we got at best 3 days until we see it as a standard piece of overland kit, like maxxtraxx or an angry beaver shovel, skottle, etc.

ARB is already looking into Chinese suppliers.

You would have to figure out a way of mounting it to the outside of your vehicle and keeping it there at all times to show everyone that you are ready to overland at a moments notice.

If there’s a way to print topographical lines on the air hose, that would be key.

Have you ever tried to fill a tire with it? I did once. Once. Then I threw it away.

I agree. I have only used it to bring a tire up about 5 PSI. Even that took several minutes.

Just stating what I keep in my truck (because it was a gift) but would recommend getting a bigger better pump if anyone is looking for one.
