Can LT285/75R16 Fit on Stock Taco??

    Toyota Skid Plate, Command Start, k&n cold air intake, magnaflow catback exhaust, Revtek 3" lift, HID conversion kit
    I wanna put Lt285/75R16 Cooper Discover STT Tires on my stock 2010 Tacoma? Will They fit or Rub? Anyone have that size of tire on their Stock Taco?

    I believe they will fit but you will rub like a muda fawker. Depends how your wheels sit too. Most people have 3" ifts that are running 285s.

    they fit my truck stock height stock rims you need to get 1/4 inch spacer and then you trim a very small amount and you will only rub at full lock

    and i like it. lol i trimmed maybe a finger tip of plastic on both sides. my truck rubs more now then when it did stock height

    thats why you need the 1/4 inch spacer like i stated

    hrmm i didn't think they would fit , i need new tires, and didnt want to get tires before i put a lift on , opens up some more possibilities

    but dont forget i got prerunner so 4x4 might weigh front down more

    ya i might just go LT265 then lol that sounds like a pain in the ass. i cant afford my lift yet cuz i dont just want a leveling kit. i want the icon 3" lift

    Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
    dont forget the sidewall on the STT is pretty aggressive so they will rub without a lift and at stock backspace...

    But if i put a 3" leveling kit on the truck will there been any problem at all putting LT285/75R16 's On the truck? stock rims will 285 rub with a 3" leveling kit?

    Maybe ill stick with 265/75R16 stock rims and put a leveling kit on it. those cooper Stt will maybe fit better with a leveling kit then?

    I'm running 285/70/R17's on my stock suspension on a TRD Sport and I only rub slightly at full lock. You'll need to trim a little though...

    I know I'm a 1st Generation but I have 285 Cooper STTs and I rubbed a little with my 2.5" Bilsteins.
    Nothing that a little trimming can't fix though. But Mike is right, the sidewall on the Stts are really aggressive. Lots more than my friends BFG ATs
