I have a TRD OR LB and I came from a 2nd gen TRD OR. The locker works well in the NE where I use my truck, its a nice oh shit button. To the OP its your truck and honestly for mild trails youll be good with a basic lo speed t-case 4x4 and good tires. If you push the limits of a stock rig then the "driving assists" help like Crawl control and Multi-terrain. Its a nice feature, sure back in the day we didnt have it but let technology grow it will eventually be in all off road oriented rigs from factory. I like the features and guess what its my truck so if I want to use it I can. I like the technology if not I would of bought an 80's jeep with open diffs and nothing fancy. To those who call it gimmicks they probably havent ever used MTS or crawl control. Toyota is a leader in 4x4 technology and they are proven for a reason. For the OP your good just add an ARB and call it done. For those who bad mouth technology guess what its going to keep happening weather you like it or not. good example is Porsche has dual clutch "automatic" paddle shift transmissions on some if their top performance cars and they shift faster than any human can in a manual. Technology wins there. Sure its nice to have old school but its also nice to have new tech also.
