Make sure to document all conversations you have with your service writer and the mechanics. Or do what I did and hold your phone in your hand while it's recording audio and catch all your conversations with the dealership so you don't miss a beat. They like to lie, so document everything!
Are you filing for the lemon on your 2016? What is the issue with your vehicle, the howling noise?

Be careful of recording conversations. Check to see if your state has a dual consent law or not. If they do, you cannot record a person without their consent any such recordings cannot only be dismissed from any proceedings, you could be fined.

I have an appointment this Saturday with my dealer. I have been in correspondence with Bob1946. It is to bad other than this issue I love the truck. As I have posted in other threads it sounds like someone blowing into a longneck beer bottle at speeds starting at 35 mph. I agree with bob1946 this problem is not going to get fixed by us just bitching on TW about it. You need to contact Toyota or your dealer and create a paper trail

Sorry for the dumb question, but what are "carrier bearings"?

    Thanks,

Your so right Toyota lies and hides and won't say there is an issue and controls the dealer's so they will tell you the truth but they need to lie when Toyota is included
    in the conversation.
    This stinks about Toyota.

GM is way better. I have bought 2 new ( 9 total Corvette buy's) Corvette's recently and service me well
Thinking of raise a stink in the paper and decorate my large trailor I pull about sucky Toyota.

Likely will sell it soon and buy an 2016 F150.
Just put 7700 miles on a new 2016 and its a dream to drive.
My Toyota full of road noise sucks compared to the Ford

We ordered the new vent and looked at it.
Very cheap and flimsy and exact same as mine. Not one bit of any kind of insulation nothing but but bare metal in the cab

Very noisey cab compared to the other new trucks out.

By "other new trucks" you mean the Colorado? The 400 lb lighter weight on the Tacoma has to come from somewhere.

Ha, agree completely. First he wants a BMW, then when someone tells him they don't make trucks changes to wanting an F150 although he's in love with GM? Since when does GM make F150's?
