    Did the ECGS Bushing.
I can’t manage to get more than 1.2-1.3 qts. of oil in the diff.
It runs out the fill plug if I keep trying to add it while the truck is level.
I’ve even let the truck sit for awhile and driven it.

I definitely don’t think the front had any where near 1.6 qts in it like the book says.
Didn’t look like much more than a 1 quart to me?

You all think I’ll be ok? Or should I raise the drivers side front and fill it on to 1.6 qts?
I’m thinking raising the front drivers side will force the fluid over the passenger side and I might be able to get a bit more in. But I don’t want to over fill and cause fluid to run out the diff breather by being over full.

Or am I over thinking it?
Just run it and check it in a few months.

I think your overthinking it, if it's at the fill level you should be fine.
Many times the listed capacities are "dry fill" capacities as in if the unit had been completely disassembled and cleaned and you were filling it for the first time.

As the other guy stated, it's never going to take the full capacity there's always going to be some residual left in it, especially if you didn't pull the drain plug and drain it completely which I would recommend you do because there's probably metal shavings on it that need to be cleaned off so the magnet can keep doing its job.

Just fill till it runs out the fill port slightly. Don't over think it.

Some hides in the ADD tube. As part of the process I will jack up the RH side to create a slope and drain the gear oil toward the diff. The rear can hold even more in the axle tubes. I similarly will jack sides to create that drain slope as well.

I did pull the drain plug.
I hate the smell of that stuff.
I didn’t want it running out of the Diff while the axle was out.
I had not sides off the ground on jack stands to inspect all steering and suspension components.

I’m just over thinking the whole thing.
    I do that a lot.

Usually better to over think it than to under think it!

Yeah Shooter, just drive for a week and pull the fill plug. If it's still full, you're good. If not, top it off.
