Earlier today, I was on private property doing some donuts in dry dirt as I’ve done plenty of times before. Trac off (held auto lsd button down for 5 seconds) and in the lowest gear. Coming into the turn turning left, I can maintain the donut for as long as I want but today was the first I’ve noticed I cannot get the back wheel to slide out when initiating the power slide turning right. It’s real easy to get it to slide when turning toward the left but I cannot get it at all when coming into the turn turning to the right.

Allegedly, I tried this out on some wet pavement too and got the same results. Any ideas on why? Really would like to be able to do donuts both ways :headbang:

I rotate my tires every 5,000 miles, PSI is 39 front, 36 back,
Bilstein 5100s all around, 885 coils, 2” AAL, ARB bumper. Other than that I can’t think of any other variables. Maybe I’m just not good at donuts?

Show the pics after while doing donuts you get unexpected traction and roll it on its side.

So, he flops it on the right side. The battery shorts out against the hood because his replacement battery is too tall for the hold down rods. All electrical is now FUBARed. An electrical fire ensues. His drivers door won't open due to his failure in the actuator repair.

One of his buddies see's him frantically pounding on the windshield and hears him screaming for help. He runs over with a claw hammer, smashes the drivers door window and get's him out of the truck just seconds before the truck bursts into flames.

    Insurance adjuster, "So, what happened?"

"Well, you see it was like this. I was trying to drift to the right and I couldn't do it, so I was drifting to the left, and BAM. Then it just caught fire. So, is this covered under my collision insurance or comprehensive?"

Weight transfer... your weight is on the left side. Turning left, centrifugal force tends to cause a lifting force on the left side, negating the drivers weight. Turning right pushes the left side down, multiplying the drivers weight...

    Simple, huh?
