Can someone explain "satoshi'd"?

Zip ties are fine for a sub par mount. YOu'll want to go the extra mile and expoxy some aluminum angle iron to the side and screw the satoshi from behind like these.

 

Dont think i would call it a "sub par" mount, to each their own. The zip ties work great, they are cheap, and they are easy for removal and replacment if needed. I have seen lots of people on here that have used zip ties with no complaints. We just had a meet on sunday and not one person commented on my "sub par" mounting job, they actually liked it quit a bit.

 

That's fine too. I guess I'm just partial to actually making a mount that I can screw into instead. Whatever floats your boat OP, but at least you have options or know of options.

 

yes thank you for all of the information. Does anyone know how HOMERTACO puts the grills back together after he grinds down the melt points? epoxy?

EDIT: found the re-assemble video...but if you grind down the old melt points, how do you make new ones to re attach the two pieces back together

 

he explains all that in his write up, he uses a soldering iron to remelt the plastic.

Short answer is: yes, small screws directly into the emblem

All I can suggest is you read the write-up again and post any questions in the thread, quoting the post you need clarification on or more detail about.
The process in tedious and requires exact drilling to the 32nds.
There are easier ways to mount the emblem, which I've also referred to in the write-up or you can search for it.
