Have you tried hitting the unlock button twice?

doesn't work with 2 presses of the unlock?

It has a power lock on that door that works from the inside switch, correct?

I think he's talking about the smart key, where you have the key in your pocket and can just grab the door handle to unlock it/touch the handle to lock it. It only has that on the driver's side and not the passenger side. I could be wrong though..

Definitely weak. It bugs the crap out of me since I always throw my gym bag on the passenger side first before I go to the driver side.

You can press the button twice and you can still do it, or open the driver's side first with the FOB in your pocket and throw it over to the passenger side.

Since I like to put my bag in the backseat, I open the drivers door then hit the unlock button on the door to open the rest, then open the back door.

Hardly worth a thread to complain about unlocking a door without using a key.

You can go into your settings and make it open all doors with the grab of drivers door handle

My m5 had the smart key sensors on all doors as well as the trunk. But that car cost a little more than the tacoma.

Not sure your point... if gargamel05 wants both doors for access cab or all doors for a double cab (not sure what he owns) he can either hit the button twice, throw the bag over or to the passenger side or if he has a double cab, do what I do.

Or just complain because the design is weak and a bother to try and overcome.

The reason why is because that's how it was designed. You can go through the stereo and change the setting to when you touch the drivers side handle it will unlock the passenger side as well. Not sure that's what you're asking about.

I think they want to open the passenger side first without the key fob.

There's an adjustment on the stereo also for a single click unlock but you'll need to use the fob

Even after this was posted, people still seem intent on answering the wrong question. Fucks wrong with people.

Maybe the OP will return and be more specific with his question.

In the meantime, let the boundless speculation of what he actually meant continue!

The wife wanted to open the door instead of digging in her purse.
