Had a 2" leveling kit installed the shop did a great job. I had them get it aligned for me. $120. The shop they went to did not adjust my caster, instead they broadened the acceptable range and printed me off a sheet showing that my 0.1 degree caster is in spec.

They literally adjusted 1 tie rod and called it an alignment.

    Vehicle is a 2017 Tacoma access cab - off-road 4x4.

The vehicle drives like shit. I know 3-4 degree caster is unfeasible with stock uca's, but what would be an expected range for my caster, had goodyear actually bothered to touch it, instead of fake it.

Royally pissed off about it. If I had taken it myself instead of having the offroad shop, I'd just do a charge back for services not rendered and take it somewhere else. I paid the middle man for it though, so now I gotta figure something out so I'm not out $120.

To clarify, the guy who installed the lift and did my CMC did a great job. No complaints. The Goodyear he took it to though gave me a "toe and go", and left my truck handling like a shopping cart.

They cheated the caster, should be 1.4 - 2.9, near zero is undriveable. They bumped the tolerances up to comical levels. It should be red.

What you do with spacers is crank the caster as high as it can go and let the camber climb as well. Caster is priority, camber is secondary.

    Shop should be ashamed.

With stock uca's and a 2" leveling kit at least 1.4 degree should be achievable right? Everything I've seen says yes, just want additional confirmation.

Typically we can get 1.0-1.4 on spacer lifts. Sometimes 1.6 if lucky.

Usually camber ends up around 0.9-1.1 so out of spec for both. But drivable.

Thanks. I'm going to have the shop verify that none of my adjustment's are seized up, and then I guess baby sit the alignment guy to make sure they actually do an alignment this time..

One of the benefits of social media is to hold people accountable via public disclosure. Take it back regardless, even if you paid a third party. You buy products from a store, but the MFG is still responsible for delivering what is advertised.

So I went in there this morning, spoke with the manager, he insists that-0.8 to 4.7 degrees caster is in spec for the vehicle because "the box is green." Despite the modified specification, and unsafe to drive disclaimer on the alignment sheet. Despite the numerous examples I showed him of 3rd gen alignment sheets from his own company. "Box is green" The wandering and wheel not returning to center is not due to the alignment, because "box is green"

Finally got him wore down enough to where he agreed to do a refund, problem is I do not have the card that it was paid for with. The guy who installed the lift kit paid for the alignment, and I paid him.

Jesus fuck this is infuriating. I guess I'll get an alignment elsewhere, see if I can get the lift kit install guy to claim his refund, and reimburse me the difference.

To bring a long bout of crying to an end...

I told the offroad shop what was going on. He got me in, Verified that my LCA cam's are in fact not seized up, refunded me the $120 I paid, told me it wasn't the first time Goodyear pulled that shit on him, and I can now sleep soundly. Actual alignment next Wednesday at some random shop I found. Fingers crossed. This time I'll be able to spot the BS from the first second, thank's to those who commented.
