    Hello everyone!!

I recently just got my Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 and I jumped the gun buy ordering my 4Runner TRD Pro Wheels 17x7, they are expected to arrive Monday. My biggest concern is, am I going to hinder the overall capabilities of my stock Tacoma by running the 265/70R17 tires? I am shortening the overall travel of the suspension right? Also would I be possibly rubbing when driving some more aggressive roads other than highways?.

I also ordered an Open Country 2" inch leveling kit to avoid any rubbing but I have seen people with those installed and the front becomes higher than the back, I don't want that. Can anyone with the information
I seek please give me some advice? Also don't really have the cash to do a full lift on it, I wanted to get away with the wheels and tires but not at the cost of losing stock performance.

Sorry if I seem naive but this is my first Tacoma and I am already rushing into making purchases without thinking about the consequences first.

    Thanks in advance!!

2 inch in the front 1 inch in the back will be level.
The wheels and tires are fine and no you are not reducing suspension travel, it may bump and rub a little, but still fully articulate.

more like 2” up front and level or slightly nose high, depending on your truck as each are different. That size tire will not rub, even without a lift. Might rub mud flaps slightly, but depends on your truck. You are not shortening the travel by adding tires/wheels.

You will be fine. I have 5100s with 2 inches in the front and a one inch block so you will not be level. You will have a slight to no rake at all. Its actually perfect, then I added the 265/70/17s Toyo at2s to the 4 runner pro wheels. No where even close to rubbing anything! Your fine with the lift or without.

just add a 1" block to the rear, with your 2" front leveling kit. it will almost be exactly level. if you only lift the front, you will have the carolina/california reverse rake, with the front higher than the rear by an inch.

i just did the same thing, 2" front, one inch rear spacer/block lift, from precision suspension. stock i was 35.5" front, 36.75" rear. after lift, i was 37.75 on 3 corners, 37.5 on the left rear (with a full tank of fuel, giving me a bit of a lean). good luck. Ski

A leveling kit will cost you your stock performance. You may or may not feel the diminish in performance.

Mine didn't on both my Tacomas with 4runner pro wheels. I'm running 265/70/17 Toyo open country at2. The wheels move out about 1/2 inch away from the uca. Doesn't even come close to the mud guards. Lots of people have these wheels and tires size with no issues.
Do you have personal knowledge and run these wheels and tires size?

I’m stock suspension On my Sport and had some rubbing on one wheel. I had to have my truck realigned, as it was in an accident prior, and I don’t think they aligned it when they fixed it. I still have a slight rub at times.

Hey everyone well the only rubbinng issues I have were when braking and turning into a driveway, but it was only minor rubbing and now that the area has been shaved down by the tire itself it's all good now.
