Can someone recommend a true plug and play aftermarket radio?

    Hello

The factory nav/radio in my 2013 Tacoma was starting to die (bad radio reception, screen started not working at all, radio button controls except volume nonfunctional) so I decided to replace it.

I got some $120 android thing that was supposed to work for Tacoma's from Amazon. They advertised it would retain steering wheel controls and as plug and play. Well as soon as I got the old one out and the new one out of the box I realized I was in way over my head. There's like 10 plugs for the OEM radio and I have like 4 slots. Eventually I did manage to get it working (mostly, see later) but it's supposed GPS function didn't pan out it only has GPS from my phone in Android Auto mode. The Bluetooth connection can be spotty too if I start my truck and the phone isn't near and then I bring the phone near it won't connect unless I turn the truck off and back on. The instructions are confusing and clearly translated. The tech support was also not helpful.

In addition to these issues the steering wheel controls are dead. I don't use the RH controls but the left hand ones for volume and track I use all the time and I'm really missing them. So then I did some research and found some other harness and module that was meant for Tacomas and I bought that. Same problem the instructions are so confusing and there's stray uncapped wires and I don't know where they go or what to do with them.

At this point I am willing to spend whatever to get something that has clear instructions and preferably is also plug and play. I was thinking Kenwood or Pioneer as I see they have a decent reputation.

I need it to work with my system which is the JBL system with Nav. I need it to retain the steering wheel controls. It would be nice if it also had Carplay and AndroidAuto but just Bluetooth is fine I can live with that.
