My 11 has no badges. It does have the bilsien shocks and rear locker though. I've been trying to figure out exactly what I bought and thanks to this thread I'm starting to find out just how bad a$$ this truck is.

Somehow this ended up in the middle instead of an attached message.

Going through the 2011 brochure I'm still not able to tell what kind of monster I have. According to what I see the only difference between the t/x and the t/X pro is a decal. This is the link to the page where I found this. My truck has been debadged so all I'm able to tell is that it has all the wheels and buttons listed. Does anyone know of a way to run the vin and see what I have?

Thanks @LeftCoastNerd. The only other difference I see is an exhaust option. There is no TRD inscribed in mine. It doesn't look like your standard stainless steal tip though.

that looks exactly like the tip on my 2008 TRD Offroad, which is stamped TRD across the top near the outlet.

This one doesn't have a stamp. I bought the truck used and don't really know much about it. The dealer had it listed as a SR5 TRD sport. Through my research I know it's at least a TRD off-road. The previous owner doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to do much in the line of accesorizing so I don't feel like he would have added these wheels. From what I've seen they only come with a minimum of the T/X package.

my understanding is, the main difference between TRD off road and TRD sport is, the Sport has 17" rims, stiffer shocks, and a hood scoop. the OR has soft OR shocks, 16" rims, A-TRAC, and no hood scoop.

per: http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/Toyota/Tacoma/Toyota_US Tacoma_2011.pdf#page=13 the 2011 Sport has smoked headlights, and body colored grill insert, while the OR has clear headlights and chrome grill insert.

oh, and looking closer at that page, I see the T/X and T/X Pro are listed at the bottom... duh, I missed that before. So, the T/X is a TRD Offroad with those black wheels, the black pipe nerf bars, and if its a Pro, it has the full TRD Performance Exhaust (normally a dealer installed upgrade)

    offhand, I'm guessing you have a T/X non-Pro.

Another notable difference between OR and Sport models is the electronic rear diff locker vs LSD.

Sport shocks are different for a fact than offroad?

I have not owned both but, FWIW, the 2013 brochure lists...

TRD Off-Road Package: Off-road-tuned suspension with Bilstein® shocks, electronically controlled locking rear differential, 16-in. alloy wheels with P265/70R16 BFGoodrich® tires, Active Traction Control (A-TRAC) (4x4 models only), Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC) (4x4 automatic transmission models only), fog lights, chrome grille surround and rear bumper, color-keyed front bumper and overfenders, TRD Off-Road graphics, auto-dimming rearview mirror with integrated backup camera display, outside temperature gauge, variable intermittent windshield wipers, power outside mirrors (Access Cab models only), sliding rear window with privacy glass, engine skid plate, front tow hook, Sport fabric-trimmed front seats with driver’s lumbar support (passenger-side fold-flat feature delete), cruise control, leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio controls, leather-trimmed shift lever, metallic-toned instrument panel trim, dual sun visors with sliding extensions and vanity mirrors, overhead console with maplights and sunglasses storage, 115V/400W deck-mounted AC power outlet, compass and remote keyless entry system

TRD Sport Package: Fog lights, Sport suspension with Bilstein® shocks, 17-in. alloy wheels with P265/65R17 tires, hood scoop; color-keyed grille surround, bumpers, power outside mirrors (Access Cab models only), door handles, overfenders; TRD Sport graphics, auto-dimming rearview mirror with integrated backup camera display, outside temperature gauge, variable intermittent windshield wipers, sliding rear window with privacy glass, Sport fabric-trimmed front seats with driver’s lumbar support (passenger-side fold-flat feature delete), cruise control, leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio controls, leather-trimmed shift lever, metallic-toned instrument panel trim, dual sun visors with sliding extensions and vanity mirrors, overhead console with maplights and sunglasses storage, 115V/400W deck-mounted AC power outlet, compass and remote keyless entry system

The IMPLICATION is that they're different.

I seen a post by a tech who said they are the same dampers, only diff was sport is linear coil (same as sr5), and offroad is progressive coil.
