    Your crazy.

But really all 3rd gen tacoma steering wheels are the same, volume left right, channels up down. There is not much that can be done about it.

This exactly. Don’t understand why so many folks even pay attention to that.

Much ado on a perceived problem.

Just open the steering wheel. Access that actuator, rotate the actuator and buttons 90*, then reassemble. This will put a small twist in the wires.....but the clockspring may fail only a little earlier.

I use the knobs on the HU. My peripheral vision to touch the HU controls.

It is a minor annoyance to me.
But then if you were able to switch it, if you want to scroll up/down the center LCD screen menu, you will have to press arrow "Left" and "Right" previously up/down.
Funny thing is that my wife's 2018 Sienna has volume in up/down format in steering wheel.

Yes. You need an intermediary that is programmable. They typically have proprietary code so hard to hack.

You may get used to the volume down as the most accessible feature at 9 o’clock vs the 6 o’clock. I have both become accustomed to it but actually like it despite needing to learn how to behave differently in my wife’s car with the historical approach.

Well duh… I wonder what kind of questions you may have asked before… It’s a Legitimate question that someone may have tried this and found it’s either doable or not.

    Peace

    Hey all,

If anyone wants to know who all the JACKASSES in this group are; just read through this thread. As the saying goes, the chain is no stronger than its weakest link. Well, this group is no more respected than the weakest JACKASS.

    A lot of Felicia's here
