From this picture. I bet i can cut the trace on the pc board and run a wire to each pin of the connector and change it..
If i find one cheap ill do it.
    And document all of it.

Or its even easier. Each button may engage a different set of resistors to set different voltages on the outputs. Radio reads those voltages to determine what button is pressed. Rearrange the resistors and you can rearrange what button does what.

When I installed a new head unit it required a Maestro RR2 to integrate with the Tacoma wiring. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that you can reprogram the buttons on the steering wheel to any functional configuration you want. My volume is now up and down and tuning is left and right. So maybe look into the Maestro unit to see if you can add it to your stock head unit?

FWIW. OP you were offered help on several posts. Shoot, I even offered a suggestion in post #45. Since then, I've been following this "subject".

I noticed some entertaining points. For instance, OP signs his posts "Very Respectfully, Michael". Funny thing is your posts/replies are anything but respectful. Name calling, inciting......and others. Really poor form for a fresh member, but I understand that is how folks from Robins roll.

    Good luck with your buttons.

Hopefully, I didn't push any of your buttons.

Oh, BTW.....yaw is a motion term for airplanes. I think you mean y'all

Awe, all the comedians out of work and you’re trying to crack jokes.

Apparently you’ve not noticed I’ve only responded to the sick heads in their own language because it’s all they speak.

not once have I been rude to anyone with a respectful response and not once have I discounted anyones suggestion(s).

but, apparently everyone has to make some kind of jab towards someone else to make themselves feel good.

I mean, come on, “yaw vs y”all” really, you got to stoop so low as to make fun of one’s slang language

but, go ahead, what ever helps you sleep at night.

    peace

Glad I could assist; but be careful with your slang language; the dickheads are still prowling around. Currently they’re desperate and will dick anything they can
