Can valve cover gaskets be reused after valve adjustments?

Probably a stupid question, but here goes anyway. Planning on checking valve lash and likely will have to adjust at least a few. Truck has 278k miles and to the best of my knowledge, the valves have never been done.

I foolishly paid a shop to do the valve cover gaskets about a year ago (7k miles ago). So can I remove, adjust valves, and reinstall the valve covers using those same gaskets? Should I pull and reseal the half moons with FIPG? And can I reuse the cam plugs?

If they were older, or leaking I'd obviously replace them, and follow the "while I'm in there..." logic, but at the same time I don't want to waste money. Also don't want to tear it all apart again afterwards, any time soon. Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks.

You already have everything apart, replace them. I consider almost all gaskets as ''one time use only'' items.

Sounds good, I'll do that. I was leaning towards that, but wanted a second opinion. Thank you sir.

You can re-use the gasket and just put a good bit of gasket maker like RTV on it to seal good. Ideally you would replace the gasket though of course.

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
You'll be kicking your own ass over and over when it drips oil on your exhaust manifold and smokes and smells and you will think to yourself "Why didn't I just just drop new ones in when I had it apart?!"
