Can we stop with the "it already has a 1 inch lift" line? Pretty please?

Every time I talk to someone about the 16's suspension, clearance, etc., and I mention that I want 2" of additional lift over stock, I hear the "well it already has 1 inch of lift, so you're really looking for 3 inches, durrrr" line. Drives me nuuuuuuts.

It makes no difference how the truck got to sit at whatever height it sits from the factory. That's the baseline - whether it's floating on a cloud of marshmallows or on higher suspension - I don't care how it got there. I care about the start, and the end (lift over starting height).

The truck has X clearance. I want X + 2. I don't want to know how much lift it would be compared to a stock skateboard.

I thought I heard that one of the mfrs is coming out with the "3 minus 1 kit" specifically for the 16's.

Darth breathes heavily, he doesn't cough - he finds colds disturbing.

Jeebus, the Star Wars knowledge is really lacking here. Amateurs!

With all this Star Wars talk, I feel compelled to post in this thread even though I don't yet own a third gen Tacoma.

Well, Bob over here is from a town with a population of roughly 7 people and a bobcat, so I'm already impressed he has internet access.

But hey, I got first place in something today! That's called progress, baby!
