Are you talking about taking out the factory bench seat and adding bucket seats?

If so, you should be able to. I know there is one type of 2nd gen 4 banger reg cab Tacoma that has factory bucket seats (pretty rare model), so I would imagine the bolt holes for using buckets are probablly on all tacomas, even all reg cabs. My Nissan had bench seats but it also had the mounting threaded holes for using buckets.

They would be under your carpet someplace.

I believe the second gen. 4 cylinder Pre-Runner & 4WD Regular cabs with SR5 PKG has the buckets through 2008.

I also think there is a aftermarket bucket seat you can install w/ special brackets. Check Summit.

    Chad,

I'd be glad to learn more about the reg. cab Tacoma that has buckets. I would really like them for mine. At my 5K tuneup the parts guy said it couldn't be done. Maybe I talked with a new guy that was misinformed??

Seems like if they were available in 2008 on SR5 packaged Pre-Runners & 4WD's, it would show up in the parts break-down. Perhaps call one of the big Toyota parts dealers and check. I believe Toyota of Richardson in Texas might be able to help you and they discount. 1-866-455-7555. Also remember some regions of the country don't sell Pre-Runners or other platforms so parts people may be unfamiliar with the options or codes. Let us know what you find out!

I test drove an 08 SR-5 reg cab that had bucket seats, but I ended up getting an extended cab. The seats are identical. I'm pretty sure any second gen. buckets will bolt right in to your 09. When I had my 97 Tacoma I swapped out the bench seat for buckets from a 2004 and everything lined up perfect. Hope this helps you out.

I did the Bench to Bucket swap in my '06 regular cab. Everything lined up, but I still need to transfer all the electronics for the airbag sensors on the passenger side.

I have a set of TRD Offroad seats, complete with brackets and all the sensors, out of my 2006 Access Cab. Pretty much mint condition.

I'm in NJ and open to offers. :)
