    I've seen lots of guys adding different switches and such for add-ons like fog lamps. I was curious, can you find and buy OEM push buttons?

    If so why do so many opt to use aftermarket ones? Is the wiring set-up harder with OEM switches?

    *My goal would be to add fog lamps and utilize the factory switch and possibly add a DRL override and get another factory fog lamp switch - for that stock feel.

    If you have the wiring there use the stock one for the fogs. Aftermarket ones are easier to find, cheaper, customizable, and very easy to wire.

    There's a heated mirror switch out there for a highlander I think that fits in the Tacoma switch blanks. Super clean way to add heated mirrors, it's just that it's $85 or so if I remember correctly.

    I think cost is the reason you don't see everyone use them. A generis switch is $5 or so compared to the $50 for the OEM one. Also with some of the other switches, like the marine style rockers, you can get different logos (like bed lights for instance) that work better than the factory toyota switch logos for some applications.

    I just installed aftermarket fogs and used the OEM switch for the FJ because it has the green light that tells you your fogs are on. Nice little addition.

    Do they make any other universal light switch that would fit a 2005 Tacoma besides this or similar to this one
    $92 84160-04010 Fog Light Switch, regular
    84160-04010? I am trying to use it for an on/off switch to wire to my rear view camera. If not will part # 84160-04010 work as a switch for my rear view cam
