Its not far from the truth. manufactures have to spend time with shock manufactures to make sure the shock they want for their vehicle performs as desired. Things to consider......Shocks can affect teh stopping distance, roll over ability, and ride quality or a vehicle. A manufacture isnt about to put something on their vehicle because they saw a comercial about it claiming its the best. They want hard truths. Why? because if the items causes some little 'ol lady to flip the truck over, they need to make sure they dont get their asses handed to them in a court.

True but a little old lady driving a baja edition? Come on. It's just a bunch of shit to drive a sticker price. You can out perform that with the aftermarket easily.

This is a situation of aftermarket parts on a related system.

If a 2" lift is obtained from aftermarket springs, Toyota would be within their rights to deny coverage for alignment, tire wear, and CV joint failure.

You would likely need an attorney to support your claim that your aftermarket parts are identical to those used on the Baja/Texas/CenCal/Carolina/Broseph or whatever Toyota calls that particular model.
It would be a simple battle and Toyota would likely settle rather than take it to court....

But Toyota's "free parts" requirement under Magnusson-Moss would not apply to springs outside of normal warranty work,

If your stock springs were to fail, Toyota would have to replace them under warranty.
If you opt to go aftermarket (for whatever reason, you want a lift, or you just don't "like" the Toyota parts), then Toyota is relieved of all liability for those parts, and is within their rights to deny warranty coverage for related systems.

Thats $33,900 for some nice aftermarket shit

OR pay $36,315 for a BAJA.....

If you go with the first option, you have a nicer truck and $2,415 to spend on strippers or whatever....

lol, they were also careful to not show the steering wheel not being straight anymore, and the alignment tabs being folded.

"Too much" is doubtfull. Looks to be moving very little. Put your GoPro under your hood, and go down some rough roads to see some real movment. ;)

Its hardly moving. Given that the mounts allow almost 3 inches, or more, it looks to be minimal.
