Can you easily add DRLs to a nonDRL Taoma?

Back when I bought my 2009 new I hadn't even considered that some came with DRLs and some not. Not really an issue until I put in aftermarket GPS head unit that dims when the lights are turned on. Unfortunately it does not have variable dimming but only 2 settings, bright and dim. On dark cloudy days I want my lights on, but then the screen on the head unit is too dim. Yes, I can disable the dim feature in the head unit but then it is too bright at night. And too much trouble to go through the settings menu every time.

So if it is hopefully close to plug and play I'd like to add DRL headlights. Anyone here done this?

DRL's on our trucks only turn the amber lights on in the front not the headlights, as far as adding that feature I don't know if it can be done easily or not.

Ah, I didn't know that. For some reason I thought they were like most others that used the headlights. We have several safety zones around here that require headlights even in daytime, not the ambers.
