All right so I have the OME heavy duty leaf pack for my 17 Tacoma and I like it a lot. I know it has the extra overload leaf to make it heavy duty.

But I’m wondering, is there anyway I could put a second overload leaf on it to make it extra heavy duty and more lift? It used to give me 3 inches of lift but it’s settled to about 2.5 inches. Could I put another brand new extra overload leaf on it so it’s extra heavy duty? So with 2 overload leafs? Yes I know it would ride rough but could it be done??

    thanks

They started at 3inch lift but after a year and heavy loads, they settled down which I knew was going to happen. Someone wants to buy these used. So I was going to order a new hd pack and get an extra lead Installed so there’s 2. Just want to make sure it can happen lol

I'm in the same boat. I contacted Headstrong to get an AAL but they are back ordered. I am actually considering a block as well, because the ride is fine and plenty of arch in my pack.

I think my old man emu leaf pack is fairly worn out after about 4 years and 50,000 miles of carrying heavy loads and off roading.
I built a camper over the last year so I don’t want to spend a whole lot of money on the truck at the moment.
The plan was regear and add a front locker this fall.
Next year, 2021, do a new suspension with custom Alcans and Kings.
That’s a long way off. I could do both this year but I just built a camper on my truck and I need a break from spending money on it.

I just had a thought about getting a junk yard leaf pack with leaves the same width as the ones I have. I can cut them up and add another leaf to my OME leaf pack.

This video gave me the idea (the floor jack mod at the beginning is cool too)
