Can You Program A Key Fob For A 2019 Tacoma SR

I work at a Toyota Dealership and sold a customer a 2019 Toyota Tacoma SR that didn't come with key fobs. It has power locks and windows, but the customer has to manually unlock his truck. I have several old Toyota key fobs laying around the dealership and was wondering if there was anyway to program one of them to unlock his truck? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I feel like by working at a Toyota dealership you should be able to find someone to answer this question for you....

 

They want to make the guy go through service so they can charge him. I want to help the guy out because he was a good customer. I have been told they can do it for $250 plus, but I wanted to know if it was possible for me to do it myself.

 

That is a question the service manager should be able to answer. I debated to ask another question since this is about keys. Last week I bought a 2016 Sr 5, and it came with 2 keys with buttons you can press . I do a lot of kayaking and want a dumb key preferably one that doesn't show what make the key fits. If I drop that, I don't want anyone to know it fits a Tacoma or any other brand what so ever. I am not certain what happens with the electronic key fob if it goes swimming either, and I am not talking about a little wet but soaking lake wet over hours. Is there a hardware store blank the can be cut to do this ?
