    i hate to say it but most dealers are complete fucking idiots when it comes to shit like this and will just say no because they are too lazy to actually look into it.

    they're built like that for a reason.

    those that can usually afford them or want them want the best new tech on the market. so they get rid of them fast. Make it good for that 2-3 years, get a lot of the depreciation covered, then sell it and have the rest covered and let the next sucker deal with all the issues because your engineers knew they dont need to make reliable cars as those buying do not care to keep these cars long.

    I asked the parts/service guy working the desk on my dealership if it was possible to replace my head unit (2016) with a 2020 unit. He said the dins are the same and could be possible. But he followed that up quickly stating that no dealership would do it. Toyota has strick rules around things like this. I then asked if "something" could be worked out. He laughed and said he wished...
