Thought about it, but I like them to be where the little yellow sensor light is.
    I know I know... #FirstWorldProblems

I did this mod on my 2019 4R, but only on the driver’s side. It made a big difference merging into traffic on freeways, which I do a lot in Houston. I look forward to doing it soon on my new Taco.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away I too used to merge on to freeways in Houston. Rayford and I-17 and Gears / Spears and I-17.

I'm still new to the Toyota forum. I have a 2020 access cab SR5. The blind spot problem is driving me crazy. Particularly at night. I have the small aftermarket round mirrors but they're really not doing the job. I'm thinking of changing to RAV 4 mirrors. I want to be 100% sure that the part numbers will fit my truck. If you go on a Toyota website those part numbers will show that they are NOT compatible. I have read all of the forums, would still like some advice. Hate to buy them if they won't fit

I have a 2019 TRD Off-Road. They worked well and honestly I like them a lot more than blind spot monitors. It's a fit that I haven't found anywhere else

Thanks for the reply. Because I am thick headed and slow to learn how this forum works, could you please send me those part numbers. I know they have been posted but I cant locate them right now. Thanks
also I believe that all you have to do is stick a big screwdriver between the outer mirror and the casing and pry upwards in the mirror glass will pop out. If there is a video on that i would love to know where it is. again thank you

I just used a plastic pry bar and popped it off disconnected these two cables and put it in the same spot on the other mirror to enable the heated mirror function. Pretty straight forward install

I bought a set from blind spotter mirrors. The best mod I've done. Heated, bsm and an adjustable blind spot mirror. Plug and play.

Has any one had success with installing BSM on a third generation Taco. Looks like a lot of the stuff on the market is not very high quality or reliable.

Just putting it out there, a 'properly' aimed set of mirrors will not show the side of your vehicle if you are glancing from the driving position. This puts the mirrors out to give you lane 1 in the first half of the mirror and 75% of lane 2 in the other half. You can still move your body left/right an inch or two to change the viewing angle, either to see the bedsides or more of lane 2, lane 3. Glad i'm not the only one that thinks the OEM mirrors are smallish..
