My 2017 Tacoma has 30k miles on it and was planning on doing a power steering flush. For some reason the truck came with a clear power steering fluid and the dealership has been topping it of with ZAK Synthetic Multi-Vehicle Power Steering Fluid:
    https://zakproducts.com/shop/power-steering/synthetic-multi-vehicle-power-steering-fluid/

But the dealership does not sell it. I got some extra bottles of Toyota OEM ATF WS that i bought 5 years ago left over and was wondering if i can just flush the entire power steering system with the ATF?

Thank you for the the replies.

Check what fluid the vehicle calls for but I would assume it would be fine, I have a 2nd gen and I use the same WS trans fluid in my trans and power steering.

Toyota specifies Dexron II or III ATF for the power steering. Valvoline Maxlife is a compatible replacement for Toyota WS and is also Dexron II and III compatible. Seems like WS should work.

Why not Dexron 2 or 3 atf like the manual calls out?
Manufacturers of ATF WS, make a big deal about their fluids being compatible with torque converter clutches. Those friction qualities would make me avoid ATF WS.

Look for the GM/Dexron licensing number...then you'll know the spec is correct.

So Genuine Toyota and Lexus Dexron III ATF and Toyota ATF WS are two separate things? If so then ill just go buy a bottle of Genuine Toyota and Lexus Dexron III ATF. Thank you all again.
