Ok so I got a dynomax super turbo 17748 muffler to replace the rotted out one on my truck. It's more oval than round like my previous one.

I had a local shop weld it on but it seems like it should have been rotated so it sits flat and sticks out less. Is it just me or did these guys put no thought into this? I mean it's a lifted 4x4... Clearance is huge

Yup, it's a muffler. They probably install it anyway they want unless you tell them different. You can try asking them to turn it. Maybe they had a reason for installing it that way.

It might not work if it's rotated, since you bought a center in, offset out. The rear pipe might not mate to the offset pipe correctly. If it doesn't, just dump it after the muffler.

Just shooting in the dark here.

If I remember rite my dynomax was center in offset out, so that muff would have worked the right way...
