I know. Didnt Brandan have to wait a long time to get his wrist fixed though?

It's also pretty widely accepted that the level of treatment is better in the states across the board.

Im sure results vary from person to person. BUT, My folks have friends from Canada (they actually still work there, but live in the US) and they are getting insurance in the US. They had issues getting things paid in the US, I guess.

I've heard that if you get a compund fracture in Canada, they just tell you to rub some dirt on it. That's what our healthcare lobbyists tell us, and I believe them.

No, for a compound fracture you have to use beaver fecies, get your facts straight.

Do beaver feces require a co-payment?

My bad, thought we were having a little friendly chat about healthcare. I'm not really for or against, can't make up my mind. Just know I've read some stuff my boss passes around about the level of care etc.

No worries, I just don't come here to debate Canada's healthcare with people from another country. I don't know anything about the care you recieve in the US nor do I pretend to.

Aye, I don't have any personal experiences with the healthcare up north. I think because of my proximity to Vancouver and Seattle I hear a lot about it. Lots of talk locally about wealthy Canadians coming to Seattle for treatment, mostly for the most serious stuff. Who knows tho, I've never seen any Squatch's in the waiting rooms.

I'm undecided for myself. I think the reasons American's talk so much about it is so many are undecided and have to constantly sift through the shit passed around from the pro or con sides.

there's 50,000,000 americans without health insurance, that's 50,000,000 people that would have a hefty bill should they break an arm or leg. no such problem exists in Canada.

    Bonjour, Jaques.

Actually, they just go to the emergency room at the county hospital, and we end up paying for it with even more inflated healthcare insurance costs. They do this for colds or because their tummy hurts.

Of course, they aren't going to get cancer treatment.

BTW, healthcare model is totally broken down here. Not arguing. But people's sense of responsibility for their own health is also terrible. But if our public education weren't so shitty, this probably would not be such a problem.

2 liter Coke and case of Marlboros fro breakfast! Now heal me!

Actually, They still get treatment, and if they cant pay, there is a fund to cover it.

so what you're saying is that you basically already have a form of universal healthcare, where those who have health insurance flip the bill for those who don't... seems legit.
