    I moved from NS in the summer of 2011 (from The Valley). Only do it if you have a job lined up.

    Also:
    -Check out the Calgary thread on here
    -Hail damage is a real thing
    -Be prepared to replace a windshield quarterly (or at least once a year)
    -A Schooner isn't what you think it is (its a size, not a brand of beer).
    -Don't talk to anyone on the C-Train. Seriously. Also, be prepared to dodge vomit at any moment when on said C-Train.
    -There is always a bigger truck
    -Calgary is laid out in a grid. It actually makes sense (unlike Halifax)
    -Anything over 1cm of snow = anarchy on the road downtown
    -Rush hour here makes no sense
    -Real Estate and rent here both suck
    -5% tax seems practically free after 15% in NS
    -Everything closes early
    -Parking is expensive
    -Highway 2 is the definition of chaos 90% of the time
    -BC folk never stop telling you how great BC is. Never. Ever. They're good people though!
    -Everyone from Saskatchewan is insane. Especially when in town for football. Also good people.
    -Rednecks and hillbillies here are on an entirely different level of crazy
    -EDIT: The mountains are awesome.

    Did that. The demonstration caused an instant mixture of regret and amazement. lol.

    They also refer to Ontario as "back East" or "Out East". As a Maritimer, I find that highly offensive. "East" starts at the New Brunswick boarder:p

    He's moving from Nova Scotia. A Newfoundland flag would be an odd choice.
