it's so frustrating that we pay so much more for everything.
even if i put it in myself it is going to cost me between $2500-$3000 after alignment for the OME kit and LR UCA's.

Very frustrating indeed. I just had a full OME kit with LR UCA's ordered. I opted to have it shipped to Niagra Falls New York just to save some coin. Even with the savings I have paid $2000.00 without the cost of install.

Although if I bought from Toytec and had it shipped to me in Ontario, it would have cost me over $800.00 more with all of the additional fees.

Worth doing but still frustrating to say the least.

I purchased from Head Strong Offroad in California (excellent customer service and awesome pricing). They do not charge sales tax to any state or province outside of their own, if I'm not mistaken.

That's the entire kit. 885's with 1/2" top spacer, shocks all around, dakars, LR UCA's, diff drop, CB drop and all new hardware (new u-bolts, bushings etc.) That was also with the 885's pre-assembled. After the conversion with shipping it came to just over $2000.00 cdn.

I shipped them to a UPS store in Niagra Falls New York, where my friend has a mailbox. The shipping was substantially lower to ship there than north across the border.

I didn't pay brokerage fees because it was shipped within the U.S.

You don't have to pay duty unless on the package it says it was made somewhere other than the US CAN or Mex. If it doesn't state anything on the box/packaging referring to where it was made, then it is assumed it is made somewhere where you don't have to pay taxes. In my case it didn't say anything about being made in Australia on the packaging.

I only had to pay some of the taxes when crossing the border. Just the way it worked out. All in all I paid just under $2100. You might get stuck paying full pop, which still should only be around a couple hundred depending on what the combined tax is in Manitoba.

Might be worth it to do it that way if you are not to far from the border. Hope that makes sense.

I'm gonna wait till spring for the install. :D

Canada Post was able to get all of the gifts we ordered from various places to us in time this year. I don't even really know what caused you to snap with that video :notsure:.

Plus, if you picked the item up from one of those counters in your local pharmacy, then it was the pharmacy employee being a bitch. Your problem is with your local Pharmsave, not Canada Post...

    On a side note, Merry X-mas y'all!

I don't take shit. Especially from a little bitch at Rexall. If you are a problem with me, that's unfortunate. I was pissed by that point.

If you don't like that, you should hear the voice recording where I tell her...well..you'll have to hear it...

Why did you wait for a month and a half to bring this up?

I don't know whether you're talking about the shit with the lady at the counter or the fact that it seems like you had to wait a few extra days for a package? If you had to wait a few days, shit happens man. It's the person who does deliveries for Canada Post that writes that note and they may not of dropped off that package where it belonged for a few days. That's not the clerk at Pharmasaves fault. I had an apple computer get lost in the Canada Post system for three days. It turned out they gave it to someone else by mistake and the guy didn't notice until he opened the Canada Post box. It got sorted out alright. People make mistakes, and when one is made it's usually better to try and solve it with some understanding rather than screaming some poor minimum wage monkeys head off.

Just my two cents. Merry Christmas.

Not surprising that you did not come away with what you wanted - your package. Sounds like you already had one conflict, then came back and dealt with it poorly, and recorded it.

The video presented is actually a great learning tool!

Here is a one page article on conflict resolution that can help.

    http://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/newLDR_81.htm

    specifically:

    • Make sure that good relationships are the first priority
    • Listen first; talk second
    • Keep people and problems separate
    • Pay attention to the interests that are being presented
    • Set out the "Facts"
    • Explore options together
Have a look at your own recording again, with the above points in mind. The video provided is a good learning tool, as it demonstrates the points above, in exact order, unfortunately performed poorly, with the last part as the complainant leaves, an option of "come back tomorrow" is offered by the clerk, then rebuked as yet again, all 6 points failed in the complainant's response.

Hey, we all let our emotions get the better of us sometimes. I've had to re-learn this myself several times!

Newfoundland & Labrador would be a great start for you to acclimatize, followed by a defusing visiting the rest of the maritimes, before entering Quebec, city to be precise. Find your way by canoe across Ontario and Manitoba during spring, early summer, then cycle across Saskatchewan to Alberta. You will need to write a thesis on Calgary vs Edmonton, which is better, before taking a post doctoral break touring the grandeur of the Rocky Mountain provincial and national parks. Hitch hike to the Kootenay region of BC, to ease into the laid back lifestyle of BC. Make it to my place, and i'll give you a ride to the coast, where you can embark by kayak to go visit the Land of Oz.

The people who work at Canada post counters in pharmacies are employed by Canada Post, not the pharmacy
