    Last year we had a cougar venture within blocks of the downtown grid, right near a major freeway interchange. The drought is taking its toll on the wildlife, and they are venturing farther from the riparian habitat that surrounds the city on two sides.

    It'll be a while before an electric car makes sense for a family like mine. We both have 50 km commutes to locations without a charge station to get to work. That's pushing the range of current electric cars and with newer battery technology crawling along I don't see the range getting much better soon.

    Only if they plug in though I'm guessing? Or are they giving hybrid rebates? Hybrids work great in city, but they are nothing special on the highway for mileage.

    They wanted to only have 4 committee sittings on it , and compromised on 8 IIRC , and they stated quite a few times the bill was fine as is

    I'm not unhappy they are considering ammendments , and it's probably politically prudent for them given the backlash on it in an election year where they can't run on their amazing stewardship of our economy
