I had no idea the United Church boycotts Israel lol. Are they going to be labelled a terrorist organization soon? Because I'm pretty sure I was baptized in one of there Churches. Shoot, I probably shouldn't of said that on here with C-51 coming in soon. I might find myself in the Canadian version of Gitmo soon. Where would that be? Maybe Alert? I hate the cold and the dark. I'll crack right away. They'll know my secret beef stew recipe! That's what their end game is!

Pretty sure their issue is just with the illegal settlements in the occupied territories

    From the article ~
"Like the Canadian Quakers, the UCC restricts its boycott advocacy to products from Israel's settlements."

Spectrum sale by Industry Canada; Telecom companies pay $755,371,001 to license the opportunity to send electromagnetic radiation through the air.
So our country just gained 3/4 of a billion dollars for licensing air.
Now that would make any snake oil salesman darn proud.

    http://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/smt-gst.nsf/eng/h_sf10939.html

and 2.1 Billion earlier this year
    http://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/smt-gst.nsf/eng/h_sf10917.html

Edit: actually its a steal for the Telecom companies as 2.9 Billion spent to gain additional spectrum for the use by 22.3 Million wireless subscribers = $130/ subscriber. They can regain that in just 2 months (not withstanding paying out any other costs) for a typical cellphone customer.

Cell phone providers in Canada have a license to print money. Other than the 2 year contract limit, which they increased there prices to cover, there is almost nothing in this country in the way of legislation to protect the consumer from the cell phone providers oligopoly. I pay $65/month for a legacy plan that is now worth $105/month if I were to switch providers and pay for a similar plan. That's absolute price gouging.

My plan is $78 / month and that's after being a Telus Mobility customer for 13 years and getting discounts through their loyalty discounts that aren't advertised

I'm with Telus as well. I'm on a student plan they offered about 7 years ago when I bought my first iPhone. I did have to add 5$ in features to get the new 2 year contract on my Sony Z3, but they then rebated me on the phones value to bring it down to 65$ over the length of the contract. I've been with Telus on contract since the day I turned 18, and with them in general since I was 15.

I'm on a grandfathered 6 gig data plan for $65 a month with Rogers. It's a special kind of fun dealing with them.

I'm on basically the same plan but with 1000 minutes of nationwide calling time. They don't even offer the kick arse student plans anymore.

Telus has been good to me. Rogers has a terrible reputation here because there network in Alberta isn't nearly as good as Telus/Bell.

Yup. Diploma in Plant Science and a BSc in Ag Studies with a minor in Biology (genetics). Did both in Lethbridge, my grad classes had 10 people in them. CCA and AIT, should have my P Ag confirmed any day. I took a few years off in the middle of my degree to get married my first time so it was a long haul for me lol.

I used to work with a guy who did his masters in Ag at U of M.

I would have thought they might want to really check out the candidate that would be running against Trudeau

Yeah. Seems like all I'm learning is that anyone can get elected now adays.

That being said its not like the guy running against the liberal wonder kid is going to have much of a chance lol.

it looks like the Liberals on the other hand did do their homework to ensure Justin can win in the chosen riding. Still, very embarrassing for the Conservatives, and the voters. Its like no one was paying attention.
