    True. I still find it interesting how this candidate didn't think this stuff was going to be a big deal once she was an elected official.

    It's also interesting to note the herald is Calgary's left leaning paper, and is printing this. I don't think the NDP will have any friends in the media.

    Except the Calgary Sun is the "Blue" paper. If you lived here you'd understand how interesting it is for the Herald to be attacking a liberal minded politician. There's plenty going on in the background I'm sure.

    BTW I don't think it's indignantly stupid to go after a politician idiotic enough to leave several questionable images on their public Facebook page during and after the election. Oh, and then going after her for an insensitive rape image during the NDP consent parade is just good news now adays.

    If anyone did something indignantly stupid, it's her, the new MLA for Calgary bow. That being said hopefully she can learn from this and grow as a public figure.

    In that context I agree. Counter rape activists have gone from spreading good information to crusading a cause. I have a "respective of females" male friend who got involved in another friends divorce due to outside accusations of rape. Now they all hate each other over something that should of been between two people that were at a low point in their lives. Two people were just trying to hurt each other anyway possible and one of them made an offhand comment. Something said in confidence should of stayed in confidence.

    Rape and Consent are buzz words right now. This has been on EVERYONE of my friends facebook in the last week. It's a funny video, but really do we need to break down consent this far for everyone?

    yes and yes. however, there's no logical reason to give 3 media outlets any kind of influence over how federal debates are structured in addition to exclusive broadcasting rights. federal debates should be available to all media outlets and organized by an independent body.
