    So don't worry, be happy.

    Also from the article:

So in other words, Norway should really get on using some of that oil money to pay down some personal debt :D

Fraser Institute studies are often full of assumptions and errors. They do not have any peer review of their methods/results. i do not trust anything they put out.

It's hard to show your methods and results on an opinion piece.

The facts they mention in that article are correct as far as I know. The key thing in that article is the statement about debt. If lots of debt is spread over to few people then the risk to the economy is actually greater than slightly more debt spread out over far more people. That isn't a new concept.

    You must be crazy haha
I always said it would be nice if you drove 5-8 hours a day, staying in hotels and sightseeing along the way and preferably with someone easy on the eyes as a passenger haha. For a point A to point B trip I hate it.

What's with all the extremist groups recruiting Canadians recently?
    http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montr...-suspicion-of-wanting-to-join-jihad-1.3079873
Do those people not realize how amazing their lives are in Canada and how we have some of the best quality of life anywhere in the world? I can somewhat understand why radical groups are created and joined in places that war & chaos are part of everyday life, but why in the hell are kids from Canada trying to move to these countries to join radical groups?

Young kids in Quebec who don't fit in would be tempted to go a "promised land." All it takes is a little hate and a good recruiter.

I'm an anglophone and spent the first five years of my life in Quebec. I vaguely remember kids taunting and teasing me even at that age for not being able to speak french and for my religious beliefs, well my parents religious beliefs anyways. I didn't really understand what was going on of course since I was so young and I realize now it was the parents fault but I hated preschool because the kids wouldn't accept me. My dad knew it would be tough for my brother and I so when he got the chance we bailed on Quebec, where both my parents grew up, and moved. I was so happy when we moved to Alberta. It was nice to just be another kid getting made fun of for normal kid reasons and not have other kids picking on me based on how I spoke or what I did on Sundays.

The point is that while the standard of living is very high here sometimes people will get up and do something crazy to get out of a bad social situation. I'm sure these young adults were outcasts of one sort or another living in a very intolerant area of Canada to certain groups. Some recruiter that hasn't been found yet probably found these kids online and showed them acceptance. Of course these young adults are probably also a bit mentally unstable but those are the people these groups want. People who don't figure out they are being manipulated, ever. At that point he just cultivated there hatred of there peers into hatred of the western world. From that point on it's easy.

I understand weak minds and people wanting to fit in, but turn on the news for 5 minutes and you should be able to determine that Canada is better than blowing yourself up for imaginary virgins.

That's funny. I absolutely hate it when people in a great country in a free society with all the rights and freedoms you could hope for act like they got dealt a bad hand in life. Man - watch the news or read a book. We have it SO GOOD. Immature selfish little shits. It seems like a scene from Family Guy. The guy who works at ISIS, who nobody likes, gets stuck doing recruitment on Canadians trying to tell people how much better they could have it in some shit-hole bombed out village or ravaged city.

Yeah, and the funny thing is if you believe the news now ISIS is sending all these kids back with instructions to kill. So all these kids are getting out of this is either life in jail or a bullet in the brain. They don't even get to live in a bombed out village.

Oh, and they'll leave us with our dead and wounded while we sacrifice more civil rights to try and stop them.

I vote for turning ISIS held territories into the largest pane on earth, whose with me :D. I bet the Russians still have some glass makers still waiting for dismantling that we could take off there hands for free :p.

Haha. Poor you and your diminished civil rights. You'd make a good recruiting target complaining like that. I'm OK with lineups at the airport and big brother listening to people he wants to listen to if its for the right reason and there's oversight or structure. Most have nothing to hide and lots to lose.

Oh... well naturally I would hope that comes from politicians with no background in nationally security or investigative practices.

I didn't. The poor you thing was meant to be tongue in cheek. Your feelings were pretty clear ;)
