No wreck. Bought a std rear pelfreybilt a year ago from their Cdn dealer in Cochrane, AB. Finally got to powder coating it and installing, but the bumper did not fit correctly. Sent pictures in, and pelfreybilt is replacing it with a new one, powder coated, , and having it installed. I was going to visit my sister and family out in Alberta anyway

Nice. I deal with Cochrane quite a bit and have bought pelfreybilt stuff from them too.

 yeah, I'm going going get a few maintenance parts like the serpentine belt while I'm there, Save the PST at least. I'll b there after lunch tomorrow. I need to find a stock trailer harness, mine was wrecked, and I added an aftermarket receptacle, but now that won't fit in the pelfreybilt bumper.

Do you guys find Cochrane is cheaper than just buying online with shipping costs? I've seen their ads before but haven't checked out if they are competitive to pulling gear from the US on my own.

I live two hours drive north of the border. I've Shipped stuff to a US shipping address, and gone across the line to pick it up. Just have to pay gst,pst at the border. If you ship to your Cdn address you will get dinged with expensive brokerage fees. Cost from Cochrane Toyota is convenient if they have part in stock.

    Short answer, yes.

If you figure out your driving cost to get something from the border or the cost to ship something into Calgary Cochrane is usually cheaper. Kyle in the parts department will get you a price on anything they sell pretty quick and then you can check it against US prices if you are very concerned with the price. I try to do at least half of my business at Cochrane and locally to support them sticking around.

I do find Cochrane expensive on suspension though.

No. I have an aunt and cousin at Rockyridge to visit before heading to Innis fail after bumper swap.

How long did it take you to receive your bumper originally? I'm waiting on front and rear right now.

I live near Vancouver, so will just drive across the border and pick it up there! Pretty excited. Other than the cad plummeting right when I ordered....

My bumper was in stock at Cochrane, shortly after they announced they are a dealer. I have a trip out to Calgary anyhow, it worked in my favor.

    Oh sweet, that is convenient!

Did you drive through Revelstoke? My wife and I are wanting to get there for some snowboarding this season. I'm assuming they have pretty good snow and the roads are decent?

Just interrogating you on your trip haha

This was on my facebook this morning from Revelstoke. The snowmobiling is good so I'd wager the skiing is good too.

I'm getting really tired of hearing some CBC greeny, usually with an English accent, telling me that meat is causing the end of the world and we all need to be Vegan.
I would happily compare the carbon footprint from my diet of Yukon grown moose meat and potatoes, to my wife's vegan diet of South African oranges and grapes from Chile..................what tripe. These people have no clue.
There is also a huge cost to keep crop land from turning back to forest that meat producers graze for free.

I'm just going to leave it at I disagree with your last comment.

Edited: You aren't the same guy that was posting as before. My bad. I recommend you look into the history of Canadian Agriculture on the prairie. Their isn't much land that meets the criteria you speak of in Alberta that is being used for either the beef industry or intensive cropping. The cost on the environment is extremely low for Canadian Agriculture compared to the rest of the world.
