^You will also likely need an E-torx socket to install these, available at your local Harbor Freight Princess Auto.

So just got a call from the Yukon Toyota dealer who said they want to swap new rear leafs into my 2007 Tacoma? Free of charge. Is this new?

^From what I've read, the dealer will typically just put in the replacement Toyota leaf pack, but leave out the AALs. You should tell the mechanic you have AALs so he doesn't discard them with the old leaf pack.

I wonder if the new springs are simply the same as the old ones just newer, or are they somewhat new and improved.

My 2005 has the new leaf pack TSB as well as my friends 2013. So I assume it covers all the years in between.

My 06 had the leaf TSB done last year. Swapped out with a different part number, supposed to improve the sagging...

Well if it's improved that's great. My current ones have held up well.

^The recall is for rusted leafs potentially breaking and puncturing the fuel tank. New leaf pack has an extra retainer clip to address this concern. It's true the design of the new leaf pack also incorporates the intent of previous changes like the "harsh ride" TSB, but that's not why the dealer notified you. ;)

Guess we will see how Canadians handle the same type of protests that North Dakota is seeing at the moment. Just hope it's actual people that care rather than enviro paid dicks

There's definitely gonna be some court challenges on both projects before anything happens

I ended up buying these from CBoy808. They are about 3.5" x 5". Too damn cold though to apply. May have to wait until spring.
