By Saskatchewan Land Use bill do you mean the South Saskatchewan Regional Plan? Because the NDP scraped that and shit on it. Literally. It's dead. All of the consultations and work that the OWC and other bodies did under that plan has been hacked up and burned.

i forgot to mention if you do end up in alma Nb check out the Fundy Take out and if you like fishing and have a heavy fishing rod there is a bridge you can fish off of its tidal water no need for a licences you can fish for stripe bass
the bridge is just as you exit the fundy park and is in front of the take out

I have plenty of (mainland) Nova Scotia suggestions!

-Peggy's Cove: Historic fishing village and lighthouse, spectacular scenery, nice drive. Get some fish & chips and take some photos. Stay away from the edges of the goddamn rocks, you will die. Seriously, a few tourists who ignore the signs drown here nearly every year. Read the signs. Obey the signs.

-Lunenburg: A nearly original fishing village and one of the oldest settlements in the Province. Its a designated UNESCO Heritage Site. Iconic brightly painted houses and historic churches. Fishing Museum and a nice monument to those lost at sea. Several great options for fresh seafood. A cool distillary called The Ironworks Distillary that makes some excellent booze. Sit on the dock, have a pint, watch the fishing boats and sailboats come and go, and eat some delicious food.

-The Joggins Fossil Cliffs: This one is nerdy, off the beaten path, but cool. Its a UNESCO Heritage Site of significant fossil and geological importance (I'm a Geologist, so this place is freaking cool to me. Did a lot of studying here). There are spectacular cliffs on the ocean (against the tidal zone) with preserved 300 Million year old trees and footprints. Also, a nice and new museum and interpretative center. Mind the signs about tide times if you go exploring the cliffs. You will drown if you ignore the signs.

The Annapolis Valley: I grew up here, so I'm probably biased, but its worth checking out. There is a booming wine industry thats worth touring in the area. Also, lots of museums and very old historic sites. Examples: Fort Anne (est 1629) in Annapolis Royal and The Habitation at Port Royal (est 1605, though the current site is a replica built on its place). Also, check out Halls Harbour for some great lobster and to stand on the dock and witness the worlds highest tides (The tide range in this area can reach up to 16m or 50ft). Wolfville is also a small University town with good food and nice shops thats worth a pit stop if you're in the area.

If you want a good hike, check out Cape Split. Careful with the tides and cliffs. Read the signs.

-Halifax: I'd put aside a day or two just for Halifax. Lots of museums. The waterfront is really nice. Plenty of breweries to check out. Excellent seafood. Walk around Point Pleasant Park and check out some cool history. Take the commuter Ferry across the Harbour and back for a cheap quasi-harbour tour. Make sure you stay out on a Friday or Saturday night good and late to get a proper, drunken donair purchase in. Your guts will hate you the next day, and you might have to punch a few seagulls to defend your meal. But thats the proper Halifax experience. Bonus points if its rainy/foggy.

-Kejimkujik National Park: Camping, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, etc. Park entrance is free for Canadas 150th Birthday this summer, but you still need to pay to camp. That goes for all National Parks in Canada this year.

    Various Notes:
-If you're not from an area with oceans or tides (and our tides are crazy), be careful around the water. Seriously. The ocean here will kick your ass and there is nothing you can do about it. The currents are strong, the tide range can vary wildly, and the water is cold. Look up tide times (they'll often be posted in the area). If you respect the water and be careful, you'll be fine.
    -There is good golf here
    -The seafood is excellent
    -The booze is pretty great
-Queensland Beach is nice, but the water will still be cool
    -the people are really nice

I'm missing plenty, and only touched on a few parts of mainland Nova Scotia, but I hope this helps some!

Yep sounds about right. We'll be left out but they'll run 100 miles of concrete up and around the mountains to make it more accessible. Yep thats a piss off.

Have you heard anything about a rally at the ledge this weekend?
Someone on the local mentioned it.

Yes, I'm based out of a little town just outside Lethbridge. I have heard of you guys. In fact I think I know a few members through Untitled Offroad and other clubs that I've gone out with. I should probably sign up one day up there. I do get to Edmonton often enough.

So it began. No I'm not starting a Trump discussion, this is just a trade discussion because it probably effects guys like @OZ-T. On the dairy end it's a tough call because I don't really think going away from the quota system is a terrible idea other than it will kill off a good part of Canada's dairy industry every time the US producers create a massive surplus and dump it in Canada.

I feel like I missed something here lol.

No politics, just economics. Proposed trade changes could radically change exports to Canada's largest trade partner. I figured that was worth mentioning. Softwood lumber has come up before. The quota system in Canada has been quiet for years though.
