Canada should have the 2016's soon

So I went by my Toyota dealer to bug them and I learned my vehicle is built and in port in Toronto (I think that means its stuck in some yard) I'm in the Toronto area so should not be long before we get them

 

Word is they've been chillin there for awhile, waiting on Toyota Canada's launch.

 

How many ports are there for Tacoma in Canada? I know GM and Ford use Edmonton as a port location but I'm not sure if Toyota does.

All the dealers around here are promising to have trucks in October at some point.

 

Well for Ontario everything comes from Toronto. As far as Alberta and b.c no idea.

There is one making the rounds on Vancouver Island right now for folks to look at but the Dealership's are being very quiet about the roll out date although they are saying the vehicle will be available for sale at the end of October so the clock is ticking...

I ordered the DCLB Sport 4X4, I got the upgrade package to get the sunroof. I haven't been told the cost yet, but I'm hoping its soon. My vin starts with a 5 so its a US built model. I know there was a thread on the VIN's and which ones were coming out of Mexico and which ones were coming out of the US. It appears the 1st Canadian ones will be from US. I'll post as soon as I know the price.

 

My dealer said in two weeks, this was about a week ago, so I'm hoping the roll out is the 1st or second week in October. I'm dying waiting knowing mine is built and just sitting in a lot!!!!!

No worries, they are saying the end of October for them to show up here in BC. When you pick yours up would you mind letting me know what you ended up paying.

Here in BC the Dealerships are saying they have no idea what pricing will be and they don't even know when the "roll out" is going to happen.

It will be interesting to see how flexible they are on price...

 

There found out how to update profile. Sure thing, when I get mine I'll post the window sticker as well. I have only seen US Window stickers.

I think the first batch for Canada are the ones built in the US as the VIN's begin with 5. At least mine does and I assume its sitting with others.

 

I'm getting mine for under MSRP, they are going so much above invoice. Thats how its working with me.

 

I don't think the dealers here are too sticky, when I was shopping around, most anyone was willing to take 2K off if you pre-ordered. Once its on the lot I don't know. Then some may want more as its easy to sell, as its just sitting there.

I was going to install a cap (Leer) and BedRug, swap out the incandescent bulbs with LED, install a dash cam, and get WeatherTech Floor Mats.
