The cement grey looks great on the 3rd gen trucks but I would worry about how it will look with pinstripes versus white if you plan on wheeling.

If it's staying on the pavement that grey is eye catching.

Well if I asked many other people on the forum who aren't salesman the answers would likely consist of:

    - Its up to you, if you like it, you like it. if you don't, you don't.
    - They're junk like every other 16+ Tacoma because the lower control arms whistle.
    - They're junk like every other 16+ Tacoma because the auto transmissions have low fluid from the factory.
    - They're junk like every other 16+ Tacoma because the U-joints aren't lubricated sufficiently from the factory.
    - Get a Raptor!!! 450HP Bruh!

I guess I was just wondering from somebody that'd seen it in person if the pictures are an accurate reflection of how it looks in person. I find quicksand looks unimpressive in most pictures but nice in person for example.

Point being I've never met a salesman that trashed his own product. He isn't going to tell you anything negative about the Pro unless it's to spin something into a positive.

Well I like it in the pictures anyways.
This is true. But I figured he'd have more to gain by telling me my Pro from another dealer is kinda meh and to buy an OR from him instead. I know what you mean though, grain of salt.

The local dealer makes more turning OR's into Pro's then they would make off a Pro. I know they've already upsold their first OR that's coming that way. I wouldn't be surprised if a few dealers build their own Pro's just for the money.

So, just brought my truck in for its first service at Country Hills Calgary. A few things kinda bugged me other then the appreciated free loaner they gave me for the night (late drop off)…

    1) They said they have never heard of needing to check the tranny fluid. They said they needed a reason, to be able to use it under warranty service. I told them "some" Tacomas have been reported to have low levels. he said he would see what he could do.

    2) I requested the TBS update so many are praising about here on tacomaworld….especially in the US. Most are saying it still has issues, but is MUCH better. Again, I was told I needed to prove I had issues for them to even consider looking into this under warranty…so I said my cruise control in 4th and 5th gear sucked (kinda true). Not sure what they will do.

    3) If you have ever read any of my initial issues on my truck, you will see I have been battling a shake since purchase date. YES! I have looked at everything, balancing, road balance, tire inspections, etc…and still have a slight shake. Almost 100% sure this will not be fixed tomorrow.

    4) Last, the first service is BULLSHIT! No oil change, and gimmicky checks like windshield wiper check, tire pressure check, filters checks, and so on…$70. I remember the good old days when the first check was a free oil change including complete check. Second service will have my free oil change, but then add $120 for some more bullshit checks. My loaner is a 2012 Taco. Reminds me how much I miss my 2012 loaded Taco. Ah well, it's a nice truck, but it will be my last. Don't laugh, but I am one of those wackos looking long and hard at the Raptor…2-3 years:)

Yeah, those 5,000 M or 8,000 KM "services" are a total bucket of horse shit...!!!! I did not pay for the Toyota Care because it's a rip off....
All I'd get for that "service" is a check of my floor mats...!! Not really worth it, in My opinion..
I rotate my own tires every spring/fall...will change oil as well... only way to know if it's done right..!!
The second "service" interval... you get a rotation and oil change...!! Worth about $40.00 CDN in any garage..

    Total ripoff...

    agreed.
I didn't pay extra for Toyota care at time of purchase…but I'm paying now haha…I might bail after 16,000km service.

Ever consider getting an SR5 or TRD OR Tundra 5.7 and building it to perform even better than a stock Raptor? easy bolt on performance with a super charger would have it hanging out in the same neighbourhood as the Ford 3.5EB or the 6.2Lv8.

Head over to Stampede Toyota if you want them to check the ATF level and do the TSB. They did both for me without hesitation, even though they tried to replicate my issues without success.

Service writers name who helped me is Uzi (Usman).

Ive heard nothing but bad things from County hills. I would switch dealerships if I was you.

Ive been going to heninger for my services and they have been really good - no issues so far on my '15. Not sure what they would do with the '16s though.

Yeah, I knew going into it I would struggle with them (3rd taco from them), but no one came close to the purchase price I got. They almost took $3000 off msrp for me.

Naw, that doesn't interest me at all. I'm done with Toyota after this go-round. Like I said, this is my 5th taco, and I have tons of experience with these, and I think I'm ready to move on after having this one for 3-4 years.

My Tacoma doesn't have rear diff problems or any of the vibration problems that lots of people claim that all Tacomas have.

    UPDATE:
Had the trany fluid checked....LOW! They topped it up.
Had the TSB update done on the shift points....Much better!
So as much as I can complain, my truck service was better then expected..though still a cash grab at $70:)

$70 for the first service appointment. All the stuff I listed was on top of the first scheduled service
