Thought I'd share the Canadian equivalent of the USA T-SB-0053-16 - Howling or Whistle Noise from Front Lower Control
Arms fix. The Toyota Canada TSB is TCI-4418.

On another note, has anyone received news on whether TCI-4419 ECM Calibration will be updated to Rev1 like Toyota USA has done?

    Thanks for sharing.

Mine's at the dealer today for 12 month service and TCI-4419. Not sure if it's the Rev1 version, but I'll have a look at the paperwork when I get it back after work. That is, IF THEY DO IT, because they prefer to argue that there is no problem and that it's performing normally, even though they admitted the Reverse to Drive delay was there first time it was serviced. Unfortunately for me, there was no TSB in Canada at the time.

It was the Rev 1 update.
According to what the dealer told me, it was a Rev 1 update. According to the paperwork all they entered was "performed ECM update". So I really can't say for sure. There is a noticeable difference in the way it shifts and the D to R delay was not there this morning. I'll believe it's fixed after a week or so of trials.

I'm actually thinking softer will handle washboard better. And potholes. It's that top of the stroke that I'm curious about.

I use West Coast Toyota in Pitt Meadows, only a few blocks from my house. Service dept there is great.

I haven't driven a 3rd gen Sport, but my 3rd gen OR is much smoother riding than my 2nd gen sport. It handles bumps more like my lexus than like the 2nd gen.

That's what wifey tells me, the 2nd Gen was much stiffer than the 3rd Gen.

I tell her, true, but not as refined.

Thanks I'll be sure to contact them when the time comes. I drive 100% in ECT right now. How much different is the feel of the new TSB vs ECT?

have you guys heard anything about Open Road in Port Moody? I bought my truck from Regency in Vancouver cuz I work for them...but I live in Coquitlam. I don't want to drive 30-45 minutes to Vancouver and then have to wait there for service...

I have dealt with Openroad Toyota Richmond and Vancouver BMW which is also Openroad. I can't say their service departments have been very helpful. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Similar to ECT on. Gas pedal feels more responsive and seems to hold shifts a little longer. Which makes me wonder if the update is actually to the fly-by-wire gas pedal vs the tranny, but I haven't used cruise control so IDK. No delay R to D again this morning, that's a bonus. The delay was driving me nuts.

Someone on here had good things to say about them, but I don't remember who that was.
