Ours was a 15 sold in 14. One of the first off the trucks. So yes it was an aluminum body. Zero issues after 35k. It was rock solid. We only traded it off because she wanted a much smaller vehicle because her commute no longer involved long stretches of rural roads. Our F150 was a 4x4 XTR Full cab with the 5.0 L coyote engine, tow package, and one of the options packages I can't remember which one.

I still lease a F150 for work. 2016 with nearly the same options. I have 50k on it with no issues.

    haha, yup.
TONS of tire kickers, lots of interested BC residents, a few insulting low offers, including an Spokane dude and a dealer from Red Deer...good thing I'm not desperate!

Interesting...when i was procuring mine, the sales guy mentioned someone from AB inquired about having it shipped...i chuckled.

At 42k ask in AB...im thinking he might have been sincere...same dressing, but with a 6MT....mine wasnt close to 42k by a stretch

    Edit: I'm in Ontario

I just bought my 16 in December for 42,900 from a Nissan dealer in north Calgary so the price is fair.

Good to hear that it treated you well, and wasn't traded because it was causing you problems.

My friend had the fuel getting into the oil problem that apparently is not uncommon with the ecoboost. Told him to go with the Coyote. He bought his used. Dealer principle actually. Think the brake and 4X4 actuator issues were caused by abuse and ignorance. Now that everything has been taken care of, he's got himself a really nice truck.

Loved my Tacoma, but really needed a full size. When I went shopping, I felt (IMO) the "Big3" had Toyota covered.

Yeah, if I could go back though I think I would get a 3.5 L Ecoboost for my truck. All of the other trucks at work are either 2.7's or 3.5's and none of them have problems. The list of hiccups the Ecoboost had is about a half dozen long, but if you look at the trucks after the refresh and update of the engines those problems are gone. Sure, you might have to replace a turbo or two at 200k, but the expense is worth it when you tow. Nothing tows like an Ecoboost.

One thing that is for sure is that the Tundra is long in the teeth. Anyways, back to 3rd gen Tacoma's in the snowy regions :D.

Had the transmission software update done to my 2017 OR this morning. The dealer had no problem doing the update as a warranty item. Said they have done other Tacomas. I picked mine up new in mid October, but in late 2016 there was no update for 2017's. I do notice it feels much better when shifting at city speeds.

And pay top dollar....I've dealt with Cochrane a few times and they don't move on their price much. Great parts department, horrible sales! I see your from Cochrane...where did you get your Inferno? Cochrane?

    Ummmmmm Cochrane Toyota
Yea there pretty tight on the prices but I was able to get some services thrown in. Lol I didn't exactly go in financially able to bargain I guess you could say. My sales guy was awesome though, and I got to know the sales manager there, so hopefully for future reference it will help when my girlfriend goes in to get a T4R haha

I was just at the Calgary Auto show. Colorado ZR2 was introduced there. Unreal pricing. $44,215. $9,000 less than TRD Pro with more off road equipment.

Sounds like someone screwed up the USA pricing. A SLE Diesel Canyon missing most of the options is more than that in Canada.
