Yeah... a small lake just about 20 Km north of Huntsville...
And we're at the end of a dead-end road... Only traffic is snowplough in winter and maybe 6 cars/day in the summer...looking for a "buddy's" place.. hehehe.
Kinda lonely and quiet.....Just the way I like it..!! My neighbours on 3 sides are Forest and the associated animals... Wolf/bear/moose/fisher/martin/deer/ravens/racoon/squirrels/ and who knows what's next...!! (even seen Cougar tracks and scat)... (the cat) not what you were thinking.. hehe... (those "cougars" leave on Sunday nite to go to Toronto....!!

I'd like to know if everyone is following the service intervals in order to maintain warranty, comments? Doing it by a Toyota Dealership or by others? I don't like having to pay for my driveshaft to be torqued every 8000kms as it's not necessary.

I follow mine to a tee. Don't want any warranty issues down the road. I've had my service done every 6 months at the dealer. I don't put on 10,000kms in 6 months, have 17,000 after 20 months of ownership. Also have the Platinum Warranty, so it hasn't cost me a dime so far.

Ditto. Toyota service to maintain my factory warranty. The local dealer is good, real reasonably priced and easy in and out. They've treated me well.

If you're looking for commonly used Tacoma wheels, like the TRD pro and FN wheels, Cochran Toyota sells them through they're website, https://tacomatownonline.com/

Thanks, I'll give that a look. I'm not looking for any brand in particular, just wanted to get a sense for what is available in Canada. I can always ship stuff to a shipping depot in the states, but would rather avoid the hassle.

What are you paying for the #2 Service, as an example? My issue is some of the items I don't want them to do, like rotate the wheels. I'll also change my own air filters. I don't like to have to pay for someone to check my fluid levels and all this other stuff I can do myself.

I've also been doing everything in the service manual myself now up to the 30,000km mark and have started to wonder about warranty voiding.

You're voiding warranty, check your manual. We aren't even allowed to do oil changes.

May I request where it states that? Would like to read that myself as I've never heard of that before, as long as you kept proof of said changes.

This is for my 2017: https://s3.amazonaws.com/toyota.sit...17_owners_supplement_en.pdf?ck=08162017040927

    Go to page 6:
    O W N E R ’ S R E S P O N S I B I L I T Y :
It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is maintained and
operated in accordance with the written instructions for proper maintenance
and use contained in your Owner’s Manual and this Owner’s Manual
    Supplement .

    Page 12:
    F A C T O R S B E Y O N D T H E M A N U F A C T U R E R ’ S C O N T R O L :
This warranty does not cover damage or failures resulting directly or
indirectly from any of the following:
    • Repairs and adjustments caused by improper maintenance, lack of
required maintenance and/or the use of fluids, fuel, oil or lubricants
other than those recommended in your Owner’s Manual

    PAge 14:
    G E N E R A L I N F O R M A T I O N
You are responsible for ensuring that your Toyota is operated and maintained
according to the instructions in the Owner’s Manual and this Owner’s Manual
    Supplement.
You should keep detailed records of vehicle maintenance, since under some
circumstances they may be required for warranty coverage. These records
must include date of service, kilometres at time of service and a description of
    service performed and/or parts installed.

    Page 24:
All of the maintenance services your vehicle will need under the terms of your
new vehicle warranty are outlined on the next few pages. Maintenance of your
Toyota is required every 6 months or 8,000 km, whichever comes first and
includes the services and inspections recommended by Toyota.

    Page 25:
As the owner, it’s your responsibility to properly operate, care for and
maintain your Toyota in accordance with specified instructions and to keep
maintenance records. In some instances, it may be necessary for you to show
that the required maintenance has been performed .
    L O O K I N G A F T E R Y O U R O W N M A I N T E N A N C E C A N S A V E Y O U T I M E A N D
    M O N E Y :
There are some simple maintenance items you can look after if you have the
tools and ability. However, some items are best left to the specialists at your
Toyota dealer where they have the tools and skilled staff. Please check your
Owner’s Manual for items which are considered “do-it-yourself”.

This is the salient point, 'do it yourself'.

I now refer you to the owners manual:
    http://s3.amazonaws.com/toyota.site.p01/toyota/manuals/OM04013U/OM04013U.pdf

Go read page 444 (446 of the PDF)
You'll notice the do-it-yourself section. This is quite basic and does not include oil changes.
