Michelin X-ice...(snows).. I love them for the "mixed" crap we get in Muskoka..... I run everything from bare roads to ice/slush/wet snow/deep snow...!!

They work VERY well for me..!!

EDIT.... I just looked at my winter tires and they are actually... "M/S Latitude X-Ice".
I had said earlier that they were Snows.... But I guess they are M/S...

I'm also running on Michelin X-Ice in the winter. I had BFG KOs on a previous truck year round. They were great in the snow but were not so good on icy roads.

I am also in S. Ontario and run Micheline X-ice on all my vehicle. We have a much higher chance of icy roads on a daily basis than deep snow and the X-ice is top for that over the Ko2 which is marginal in the snow and useless on ice in my opinion.

I had the x ice on previous cars but tried the nokian hakkapelitia R2s last year since they were for a price I couldn't say no to.
    Absolutely love them

Ditto on the Nokians. I have the Hakkapeleta 7's, 245/75/16 on steel wheels, bought at Kal Tire for a very competitive price compared to other snows and other dealers. I've had Nokian's on other vehicles and they are the best by far. Best of luck.

What is the consensus cheapest option for bolt on sliders for us? Will be one of my next bolt ons and whenever possible I prefer not to pay duty, exchange, US shipping, etc.

No All Season is good enough for our winters. It's the Ice you gotta worry about, not the snow.

Being as your profile says Alberta, you could check out Element Fab they are out of the Calgary area I believe. Could also check with Cochrane Toyota, they use to be a Pelfreybilt distributor not sure if they still are or not.
